He began his legal career prosecuting crimes through the Berks County District Attorney’s Office.
Jim has a broad range of legal experience practicing as a civil and trial attorney.
He has been admitted with practice experience in all levels of Pennsylvania state courts, the U.S. District court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Jim Smith is more than a lawyer or a candidate. At the core of his belief system is a strong family and home.
Jim Smith has been married to Jennifer Smith for over 20 years.
He is the father of three children.
Jim is the son of Jim and Judy Smith, who are celebrating 48 years of marriage.
His father was a blue-collar worker who taught Jim the importance of faith, family, hard work, and service.
Jim and his family enjoy spending time together, serving their community, and playing and watching sports.
He and his family attend New Life Bible Fellowship Church in Oley, PA.
