Berks GOP Committee Member QUALIFICATIONS

Are you an “America First” Republican wanting to be a member of the Berks County Republican Committee (BCRC) team?

Here is how you do it:
You must meet the below qualification and apply to be appointed at your Region Meeting, or circulate and file Nomination Petitions for the position of BCRC Committee Member during an election cycle defined in the Election Code. The Nomination Petition and filing instructions are obtained from the Berks Election Services Office in Reading.

QUALIFICATION for anyone seeking to Circulate Nomination Petitions for BCRC Committee Man/Woman/or Person.

  • Must not be a FORMER Berks Republican Committee Member and must be a Republican residing within Berks County to circulate nomination petitions for membership as defined in Article II Section 2.2.

OR

  • Be a current BCRC Member as defined in Article II Section 2.1 or Article VI Section 6.2 (b). All current BCRC Members are encouraged to circulate nomination petitions as defined in the election code for the Committee Member election as defined in Article II Section 2.2.
  • Restriction for FORMER Berks Republican Committee (BCRC) Members:
    Any FORMER Berks Republican Committee Member IS NOT eligible to circulate nomination petitions for BCRC Membership for a period of 5 years from the date of their resignation or the date of their removal.

Any FORMER Berks Republican Committee Member who resigned without leave of the BCRC Executive Committee or was removed from the Berks Republican Committee within 5 years of the first day to circulate nomination petitions for the election defined in Article II Section 2.2, as defined in the election code, must first obtain a BCRC Executive Committee Approved Waiver PRIOR to the first day to circulate nomination petitions.

WITHOUT A PRIOR APPROVED WAIVER THEIR NOMINATION PETITIONS WILL BE REJECTED AND NOT ACCEPTED BY THE BCRC.
