Join the Berks County Republican Committee

Are you an “America First” Republican wanting to be a member of the Berks County Republican Committee (BCRC) team?

In the BCRC, among other things, we turn out the Republican vote in elections, recruit well-qualified candidates, and hold annual endorsement conventions. There are no membership dues. We seek to persuade our country, our Commonwealth, our County, and our local communities to embrace America First principles!

Members join the BCRC either by election or by appointment.

Generally, members are elected from each precinct in Berks County every four years in the Primary Election for mid-term years (e.g., 2022, 2026, 2030). Nomination petitions to be on the ballot are obtained from Berks County Election Services and typically circulated to voters in your precinct in the month of February for those years. Only 10 signatures are needed to get onto the ballot.

In-between those elections, individuals can join the BCRC through an appointment process to fill vacancies.

Under the BCRC Bylaws, every precinct in Berks County is apportioned one committeeman and one committeewoman. Precincts are also apportioned one committeeperson for every 500 Republican voters registered in that precinct.

Whether seeking to join the BCRC by election or appointment, you need to determine if there is a vacancy in your precinct and if you qualify.

Submit a request to the Credentials Committee Chair Lorie Zimmerman, either by e-mail (BCRCOffice45@gmail.com) or by letter to BCRC Headquarters, 8468 Allentown Pike, Suite 6, Blandon, PA 19510.

Qualifications for membership are defined in Article II of the BCRC Bylaws.
